East Kalimantan DPRD Visits AMKT Surabaya
Surabaya, 28/8/13. Chairman of Commission IV DPRD East Kalimantan, Achmad Abdullah visited the East Kalimantan Student Dormitory, "Mawar" or abbreviated to AMKT "Mawar" on Jl. Mawar Number 19 Surabaya
At 19.00 WIT to 21.15 WIT, they were immediately received by the head of the East Kalimantan Mawar Student Dormitory, Rony and other fellow students who lived in the dormitory, and coincidentally coincided with a visit from East Kalimantan Bappeda staff, Sukandar who was on duty to inspect the condition of the AMKT (East Kalimantan Student Dormitory).
The purpose and objective of the visit of Commission IV of the East Kalimantan DPRD is to find out closely about the use of regional assets by East Kalimantan students in the City of Surabaya in order to study at various universities in the City of Surabaya, and also the attention of the Regional Government of East Kalimantan Province to the world of education, especially in providing facilities for students.
Achamad Abdullah as chairman of Commission IV of the East Kalimantan DPRD highly appreciated the existence of this dormitory and said that AMKT should receive serious attention from the East Kalimantan Government for better management, because based on Achamd Abdullah's observations this dormitory did not receive serious attention. "I just came from East Kalimantan, from Juanda Airport Surabaya straight to the location of this dormitory, but the three of me were in front of the dormitory, my impression is that this dormitory doesn't get enough attention," he said while chatting with students and staff of the East Kalimantan Bappeda in the living room.
The Chairman of Commission IV said that the results of the visit would be discussed for follow-up in the East Kalimantan DPRD as well as with the East Kalimantan Bappeda and other relevant SKPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
The very large and enthusiastic response and attention from the East Kalimantan DPRD, Chairman of Commission IV in charge of People's Welfare, from the PKS Frasi brought a breath of fresh air to the East Kalimantan students in the city of Surabaya, especially those living in the dormitory, they were quite happy because there was hope that the student dormitory in question could soon be repaired or rehabilitated by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government with approval from the East Kalimantan DPRD so that the dormitory would become suitable for habitation and brought a boost in improving Human Resources, especially for Kalimantan students East.
The head of the East Kalimantan Student Dormitory (Mawar) comes from East Kutai, Rony said that the proposal for the rehabilitation of this dormitory had been submitted to the East Kalimantan Provincial Social Service in 2012 but until now there had been no follow-up from the related parties. he said when conveying his complaint to the Chairman of Commission IV DPRD East Kalimantan.
Furthermore, the chairman of AMKT Mawar, Roni, said that in 2013 he had also sent a proposal for a request for inventory items as well as a proposal for a dormitory renovation request, precisely on May 29 2013 he had sent a proposal to the Governor of East Kalimantan Cq. Equipment Bureau, Setwilda of East Kalimantan Province Number 07/AMKT Mawar/SBY/V/2013, regarding Application for Assistance Funds for Procurement of Goods for AMKT "Mawar" Investors, and at the same time sending a proposal for the purpose of renovating the dormitory on May 28 2013 addressed to the Governor of East Kalimantan, Cq. Head of Social Bureau, Setwilda, East Kalimantan Province, Number: 08/AMKT Mawar/SBY/V/2013, regarding the Dormitory Renovation Proposal, but until now there has been no answer.
