Create Innovation to Improve the Economy

Samarinda, Tuesday 25/8/15. Kaltim Expo 2015 from 21 - 25 August 2015 by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government with coordinator of the Regional Apparatus Unit (SKPD) of the Regional Licensing and Investment Agency (BPPMD) of East Kalimantan Province is a very good momentum to continue to create new innovations in improving the community's economy by holding various an event that can turn the wheels of the regional economy.

This was stated by the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan H.M. Mukmin Faisal when delivering his speech and closing the Kaltim Expo 2015 event in the parking lot of the Sempaja Stadium Samarinda Sports Hall.

H.M. Mukmin Faisal added that the implementation of the development and creative economy exhibition and the 2015 Kaltim Expo in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia is expected to increase the community's economy and development in various fields as well as inspire community participation in regional development. Community participation and support from all parties or stakeholders is highly expected in order to achieve justice and prosperity in society.

Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan H.M. Mukmin Faisal delivered a message in front of the Heads of SKPD within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government including the Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, DR.Ir.H. Rusmadi, MS and the guests who attended said that they would continue to make breakthroughs towards community welfare.

Kaltim Expo 2015 is a means of promoting superior regional products as well as business activities that have great potential in business development in a number of regions or districts/cities throughout East Kalimantan, as a destination for investment, trade, industry and local tourism.

Especially for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs), the 2015 Kaltim Expo is a good opportunity to introduce various products and services as well as the best product designs to promote to the community and to support the success of increasing regional economic growth.

Participants at the creative economy exhibition stand and the 2015 East Kalimantan Expo not only displayed development information and superior regional products but also an assessment was held and East Kalimantan Province BAPPEDA won 2 (two) best place in the Public Information Booth category, 1 (one) place for the East Kalimantan Province Animal Husbandry Service and 3 (three) for the Tax Corner stand. The East Kalimantan BAPPEDA stand also won 1st (one) runner up in the Best Design Stand category. Meanwhile, the participant who succeeded in getting the East Kalimantan Governor's rotating trophy for the favorite and best stand was the East Kalimantan Food Crop Agriculture Service.

Meanwhile, in the assessment of the best service stand category, the first (one) winner was the East Kalimantan Department of Culture and Tourism, the second (second) winner was the East Kalimantan Food Crop Agriculture Service and the third (third) winner was the East Kalimantan Food Crops Service.

The best booth assessment for the Regency/City which won first (one) place was East Kutai Regency, second (second) place was Samarinda City and third (three) place was Bontang City. Meanwhile, the creative stand that won first place was BPD Kaltim/Bankaltim, second place was Bank Indonesia and third place was the East Kalimantan Food Crop Agriculture Service. The stand with the best design won first place (one) was the East Kalimantan Department of Food and Agriculture, second place was the East Kalimantan Distamben and third place was the East Kalimantan Food Crop Agriculture Service.
