Head of Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM received a visit from Pegadaian Samarinda Branch in his office, Wednesday (29/06/2022).

Represented by Mr. Budi Lesmana and staff, the purpose of this audience was in the context of education regarding Illegal Investment which has been happening lately. Mr Budi said that his party was asked by the ministry through the OJK to socialize safe and secure investment products.

Most of the parties or companies that make illegal investment offers are not Financial Services Institutions (LJK) so these companies or parties are not registered and supervised by the OJK. Thus, the OJK cannot confirm the legality aspects of the company.

For this reason, in an effort to socialize against illegal investment offers that are detrimental to society, OJK carries out outreach and education to the public and institutions through BUMN, in this case Pegadaian, regarding the characteristics of fund collection activities and management of illegal investments as well as introducing safe investment products through BUMN (Pegadaian) such as Gold Investment.
