Online Health Business Acceleration Program Coordination Meeting

Samarinda, (14/10/2020). Head of Human Resources Development sub-sector Hj. Nani Nuraini, ST, MT and four staff took part in the East Kalimantan Province School Health Business Acceleration Program/LSS online Coordination Meeting virtually via the Zoom Meeting application.

This meeting was chaired by Plt. Head of the Provincial People's Welfare Bureau. East Kalimantan, Drs. Elto, M.Si and attended by Regional Apparatus related to East Kalimantan Province and City Regency (Education Service, Health Service, Public Works Service, Bappeda) as well as several related vertical agencies (BPOM, Ministry of Religion, Indonesian Red Cross).

The success of coaching and developing School/Madrasah Health Enterprises (UKS/M), can be seen and reflected in clean and healthy living behavior as well as increasing the health status of students in particular and the school community in general. This is the expected impact of the implementation of guidance and development of the UKS/M program in all educational units starting from the TK/RA, SD/MI, SMP/MTS, and SMA/SMK/MA levels.

Based on the results of observations and monitoring carried out by the Provincial Level Advisory Team, it turns out that there are still quite a lot of schools/madrasahs that have not implemented UKS/M properly and correctly, mainly due to a lack of guidance and training for UKS/M supervisors to increase understanding, insight, awareness, as well as commitment, and cooperation, both at the implementing level at school/madrasah, sub-district level and at the district/city level in a linear manner Therefore, a TP linear program implementation strategy is needed. The right UKS/M to be the solution to this problem.

The Provincial UKS/M Development Team consists of the Education and Culture Service, the Health Service, the People's Welfare Bureau, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, the Public Works Service, Spatial Planning and Public Housing, the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), the Environment and Forestry Service, the East Kalimantan Province Family Welfare Empowerment Team, the East Kalimantan Province National Narcotics Agency, Indonesian Red Cross, East Kalimantan Province.

The role of the Provincial Government in accelerating the guidance and development of UKS/M is to be responsible for facilitating the implementation of UKS/M in all districts/cities in its region.
