FGD Visit of JICA HEADQUARTERS with BAPPENAS, BAPPEDA East Kalimantan, and Related Regional Apparatus
Samarinda, (03/10/2024) - Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Yusliando received a visit from a delegation from the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Headquarters who carried out a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) together with Regional Apparatus related to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government environment which was carried out at the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, Thursday (3/10).
In his speech he said that in the discussion, as in the letter submitted by Bappenas to Bappeda East Kalimantan, that the Consultant Team delegation from the JICA Head Office and Bappenas were present again to deepen data and information in order to prepare project designs and formulate development plans for the Archipelago Capital City (IKN), Balikpapan City and Samarinda City based on preliminary studies that had been carried out previously, through technical cooperation entitled "Project for Development Master Plan in East Kalimantan".
Furthermore, it is hoped that the technical development plans for the three cities that have been prepared will be directed at minimizing the development gaps that arise as the capital of the archipelago develops towards the surrounding areas, especially Samarinda and Balikpapan, in the future.
In addition, the technical planning supported by JICA and Bappenas is expected to be a "bridge" for collaboration and coordination between the central government, provincial government and city government in preparing development plans for the three cities which are supported by all parties up to the implementation stage.
