FGD on Other Forms of Reclamation in East Kalimantan
Saturday, 05/03/2022. Secretary of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Ms. Charmarijaty, ST, M.Si representing the Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province attended the invitation of the "Focus Group Discussion of Other Forms in East Kalimantan" organized by the Indonesian Mining Expert Association (Perhapi).
This FGD is carried out in order to discuss in depth various references regarding the mechanism of utilizing the former mining area so that it can be reused for the benefit of the community. Also present at this event, the Mayor of Samarinda (Mr. Andi Harun) along with representatives of mining companies in East Kalimantan.
Reclamation Another form is an alternative step in the use of the mining land area by way other than revegetation, but can be used for other things for the interests of the wider community. This is because the area of the former mining area can not be fully revealed.
In the implementation of this FGD, a number of alternative efforts to use the former mining area such as the possibility of making the former mining area as a tourist area; Fulfillment of raw water needs; flood controller; Fisheries Cultivation; farm; and power plants.
Ms. Charmarijaty, ST, M.Si said that the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan certainly welcomed the reclamation efforts of other forms considering the current condition of the mining area is so much and must be treated immediately . With the implementation of this kind of agenda shows a good commitment from Perhapi to continue to pay attention to the impact and aspects of the benefits of the former mining area for the benefit of the community.
