Focus Group Discussion (FGD) In-Depth Study Visit Tim Konsultan JICA
Samarinda, (06/16/2023). Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Head of Infrastructure and Region, Mr. Baihaqi Hazami received the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Consultant Team in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in-Depth Study Visit Visit JICA Consultant which was held along BUMD, as well as business organizations in the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda Provincial Police Meeting Room.

To note, the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas and JICA held a series of meetings in December 2022 and JICA submitted a commitment to provide support for the development of the Capital City (IKN) area and the surrounding area through the Technical Cooperation Project for the development of 3 regions (LKN, Samarinda and Balikpapan). As part of the implementation of the activity, the Consultant Team from JICA conducted In-Depth Study Visit in the form of initial surveys, data collection and implementation of Focus Group Discussion in East Kalimantan, one of them in the East Kalimantan Prov Bappeda along with related stakeholders.

In his presentation, Mr. Baihaqi conveyed related to the potential of the region to be cooperated with the IKN as a partner area as stated in the 4th slide photo.

FGD continued with technical discussions together with OPD related to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, BUMN & BUMD, as well as business organizations.

As for the team leader from JICA, Mr. Yasuo Kannami said that the results of the JICA Consultant Team will be in the form of a planned final report in November 2023 to be held with a joint meeting with investors in Japan related to investments that can be cooperated and adjusted to the needs of IKN.
