Head of Government and Human Development Division, discussing the priority of the use of village funds in the technical coordination meeting of the Village Fund Utilization 2024
Samarinda, 30/05/2024-Head of Government and Human Development (PPM) of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Mispoyo, became a guest speaker at the Technical Coordination Meeting of the Utilization of Village Funds 2024 held at the Samarinda Horizon Hotel. This meeting was held by the Directorate General of Village and Rural Development from the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Indonesian Transmigration.
attended by village heads in East Kalimantan Province, East Kalimantan Province Village Community Empowerment Agency (PMPD), East Kalimantan Province Community and Village Government Empowerment Office (DPMPD) and other related OPDs, the meeting focused on the use of village funds and their priorities.
Village Funds are state recognition funds given to the village with the aim that the village can carry out its authority independently. In his remarks, the Director of Facilitation of Village Fund Utilization, Luthfy Latief, emphasized that village funds must be used to solve various village problems such as poverty alleviation, education improvement, and health promotion and healthy community movement.
In line with the presentation, Mispoyo highlights that the main problem in villages in East Kalimantan is related to Human Resources (HR). "In terms of education, there is still a 12 -year compulsory education that has not yet been completed. This is the duty and responsibility of the village government to socialize a minimum of 12 years of compulsory education. Next year, based on the RPJPN, the minimum compulsory education is 13 years, including 1 year PAUD. We have coordinated with the district and city governments to free time at least 1 year, and the hope can be applied in all provinces of East Kalimantan Province," Mispoyo said.
In addition to education, the improvement of health facilities in the village, including handling stunting prevention, is also a priority. Mispoyo invited the active role of the village government to optimize posyandu services. "Contact the local health office, because the Regency/City Health Office and the Provincial Office have been willing to facilitate free health affairs, including a decrease in stunting with the distribution of TTD (Tablet Add Blood) free and health counseling without any cost," he explained.
Mispoyo also appealed to the village government to develop tourism villages and mobilize the village's creative economy. "I hope that ladies and gentlemen can create villages that are tourist destinations. We must follow the times. Our society, especially young people, really like culinary and social media. Nature tourism is in great demand, such as in South Sempaja, Samarinda, where rice fields can be a big attraction. Social media is extraordinary, these little things can be developed in the village," he explained.
In the education sector, the village government is also encouraged to actively socialize information about free schools financed by the state and the registration of scholarships, both regional and national. "One child who was successful, has the potential to alleviate the poverty of other children. Now it can be socialized that many official schools are free and there is scholarship assistance from the local government. The most important thing is the willingness to learn," concluded Mispoyo.
With various efforts and utilization of village funds that are on target, it is expected that the welfare of the village community can increase. The government and the village community must work together to achieve this goal, so that villages in East Kalimantan and all of Indonesia can be more advanced, independent and prosperous.
