Kickoff of Regional Consultation Forum to Accelerate Economic Transformation in East Kalimantan
Samarinda, (22/10/2024) - East Kalimantan Province Bappeda held a Regional Consultation Forum Kickoff in connection with the National and Regional Agenda for East Kalimantan Province for 2025-2045, namely Economic Transformation, Tuesday (22/10).
The activity, which was opened by the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Sri Wahyuni as Chair of the Forum and attended by various relevant stakeholders from elements of Central Institutions, Regional Apparatus of East Kalimantan Province, elements of Regency/City, Academics, Banking Sector, and Other Stakeholders, aims to provide a forum for stakeholders in formulating planning, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Economic Transformation through the Regional Consultation Forum to Accelerate Economic Transformation of East Kalimantan.
The activity, which was moderated by Ade Cahyat (GIZ), presented several speakers, including elements from :
1. Daya Makara University of Indonesia, Bisuk Abraham Sisungkunon;
2. Chairman of ISEI Kaltim, Aji Sofyan Efendi;
3. Deputy Chairman for ESG & Mining Governance PT. Indotambangraya Megah TBK, Ignatius Wurwanto.
The activity continued with a discussion led by the Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Yusliando regarding the composition of personnel, job descriptions, and discussion of the forum's work plan which will then be stipulated in the Decree of the Governor of East Kalimantan.
The forum will be tasked with encouraging and facilitating the acceleration of economic transformation in East Kalimantan, by increasing the role of stakeholders in accelerating economic transformation, providing input on the preparation of economic transformation plans, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of economic transformation plans, and managing joint actions to overcome obstacles.
