Joint Comments on the East Kalimantan Network Node

Balikpapan, Thursday 10/12/2015. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government together with the District and City Governments throughout East Kalimantan agreed on one 2a._kometmen_bersama_webkometmen in the context of Building and Expanding Information Network Nodes Geospatial One Data one Map.

This joint commitment between the Geospatial Information Agency and the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Regency/City Governments throughout East Kalimantan took place at the East Kalimantan Province Data One Data One Map Forum held in Ballroom 1 of the Le Grandeur Hotel, Balikpapan, Thursday 10/12/2015.

About 100 participants attended from all SKPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and SKPDs of Regency/City Governments throughout East Kalimantan.

The content of the joint comment is that in order to realize higher quality implementation of governance and development of East Kalimantan, we are committed to implementing the One Map Policy in the region through the construction and development of the One Data One Map Geospatial Information Network Node by strengthening 5 pillars, namely: 1). Policy; 2). Institutional; 3). Technology Information; 4). Data Standardization; 5). Human Resources and agreed time no later than 2016.

The Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, DR.Ir.H.Rusmadi, MS said in delivering his presentation that the existence of One Data One Map is very important for the region, especially for policy makers and investors in investing in the region so that regional heads must have very strong comments in developing one data one map. It is impossible for a region to be able to implement this program without support from the Regional Head and the local DPRD.

Based on the presentation of material from the resource persons, the results of discussions from participants in the 2015 East Kalimantan Province Data One Data One Map Forum produced several important points, including:
1. Comments to the regions are really needed in supporting the one data one map program both at the provincial and district/city levels;
2. Support from the DPRD is also very important, especially program funding support;
3. This network node is very necessary for investors in order to invest in the region;
4. BIG is ready to assist in building nodes in networks in regions or districts/cities;
5. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government received an award for being nominated in the top 3 in the context of implementing network nodes nationally;
6. The network node is positioned in the middle as a mediation for all data from various regional and national sectors;
7. Maps are not only for planning but also for evaluation and analysis in making policies;
8. Network nodes aim to facilitate data access for Regional Governments and private parties or investors in order to obtain accurate information;
9. The supply of space for the East Kalimantan Data Center is already 80%;
10. The data center room is equipped with a teleconference and will be used as a place for the governor to make policies;
11. One data, one map integrated with the private sector;
12. High satellite imagery can only work well if the cloud conditions are a maximum of 15%;
13. Sidata application to spot one data one map of East Kalimantan Province;
14. Data is divided into two, production data and publication data, which means production data cannot necessarily be published;
15. Production data may not necessarily be published;
16. Districts / Cities agree to include one data one map in their respective RPJMD;
17. Regency/City data inventory results;
18. Action plan for implementing OD-MAP;
19. Identify potential District/City problems;
20. The Geospatial Information Agency is still slow in providing 1: 5,000 scale maps;
21. Samarinda City will build a type C network node in 2016;
22. It is hoped that the Berau Regency RTRW will be approved by the DPRD in 2016;
23. Berau Regency will form a working group first;
24. SKPD must provide support to East Kalimantan network nodes.
