Discussion of the Draft Joint Agreement (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement between the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and GIZ
Samarinda, (22/09/2023). Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Head of the Economy and Natural Resources Division, Mr. Wahyu Gatut Purboyo accompanied by the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of East Kalimantan Province, Mrs. Hj. Suparmi together with representatives of relevant Regional Apparatus elements within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government consisting of elements from the Energy and Mineral Resources Service, the Environment Service, the Government, Border and Regional Autonomy Bureau and the Economic Bureau carried out discussions on the Draft Joint Agreement (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH which was attended by Mr. Ade Cahyat as Implementation Manager for the implementation of the innovation regional technical cooperation project for a just energy transition (IKI JET).

The MoU between the East Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Governor of East Kalimantan and GIZ, which is an international company owned by the German Federal Government which focuses on sustainable development and coordinating the Partner Consortium in implementing regional technical cooperation projects for innovation for a just energy transition (IKI JET) is intended to provide a legal basis and reference for the PARTIES involved. working together to support a just green transformation in East Kalimantan Province.

For your information, the scope of the drafted MoU is to strengthen the capacity of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and other stakeholders in planning participatory regional economic transformation and developing green business activities in the context of mitigating the impact of national and global coal transition policies.
