Submission of Private Sector and Development Partner Program Plan Material for 2023-2026 to support development in East Kalimantan
The East Kalimanta Provincial Government through the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda implemented the Consolidation of the Private Sector and Development Partner Program on November 7 2022 at the Swiss-bel Hotel Balikpapan.

This activity was opened by plt. Assistant II Mr. Ujang Rachmad and attended by elements of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Provincial Bappeda Planning Division. In order to prepare the 2024-2026 Regional Development Plan, it is necessary to synergize development program plans between government sectors, the private sector and Development Partners in an effort to optimize the achievement of regional development goals in order to improve community welfare.

Acting Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, Mr. Yusliando, said that governance requires a balance of interaction and involvement between the government, (private) business entities and the community. The government functions as a policy maker, controlling and supervising, the private sector functions as a driver of economic activity, and the public is an object and subject that participates in the private and government sectors.

This activity was carried out by submitting private sector program plans from the mining sector (PT. Berau coal, PT. Indominco Mandiri, PT. KIdeco Jaya Agung, PT. Kaltim Prima Coal, PT. Gunung Bayan Pratama Coal), Industrial Sector (PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, PT. Badak NGL), Palm Oil Factory Sector (PT. Dharma Satya Nusantara, PT. REA Kaltim Plantation), IUPHHK-HA/HT Sector (PT. Surya Hutai Jaya), and continued with the delivery of programs from Development Partners (Y.KAN, BIOMA, USAID Segar, DDPI, WWF, GIZ, and the Sustainable Plantation Communication Forum.

Head of PPEPD Bappeda Provincial Division. East Kalimantan Ms. Rina explained that the Company and Development Partners will later submit activity program plans including their locations in the SADAP (East Kalimantan Development Planning Data Analysis System) application.

Furthermore, the results of the data compilation in question will become analysis material in preparing the Provincial RPD document. East Kalimantan 2024-2026 in order to realize synchronization and harmonization of inter-sector program/activity plans to accelerate improvements in the welfare of the people of KALTIM.
