Meeting of the Stunting Task Force with Policy Stakeholders and Coordination Meeting of the Provincial Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS). East Kalimantan in 2023
Samarinda, (13/04/2023). The Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Mr. Yusliando, was a resource person at the 2023 Stunting Task Force Meeting with East Kalimantan Province Level Policy Stakeholders which was held at the Mercure Samarinda Hotel by the East Kalimantan Province Department of Population, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DKP3A) and Representatives of the East Kalimantan BKKBN.

In his presentation, he said that one of the problems related to not achieving the stunting reduction target was the ineffectiveness of central coordination, the Provincial and District/City Stunting Reduction Acceleration Teams (TPPS), so there was a need for better coordination and synergy.

It was further stated that efforts to reduce stunting are one of the development priorities in East Kalimantan Province by improving the level of public health by optimizing hospital services and other health facilities.

In addition, the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province as the coordinator of coordination and convergence in terms of stunting reduction together with other relevant regional apparatus will coordinate and ensure the planning and implementation of stunting prevention policies in the Province and District/City in the region which refers to the 5 (five) pillars of the national strategy and priority activities in the national action plan for accelerating stunting reduction.

The purpose of the meeting was held which was opened by the Head of Representative of the East Kalimantan National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), Mr. Dr. Sunarto is an effort to strengthen the roles and functions of cross-sectors in accelerating stunting reduction in East Kalimantan Province.
