Technical Coordination Meeting for Regional Geospatial Information Networks in Districts/Cities throughout East Kalimantan
Jakarta, (21/09/2021) Head of PPEDP Division Mr. Alfino Rinaldi officially opened the 2023 Regional Geospatial Information Network (JIGD) Technical Coordination Meeting for Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan at the Harris Vertu Harmoni Hotel, Jakarta.

This technical coordination was carried out as a follow-up to the 2023 Regency/City JIGD Coordination Meeting which was held on 28-30 August 2023 in Bontang City.

Present in this activity were elements of Diskominfo Prov. East Kalimantan as Provincial Data Mayor, Regency/City Bappelitbangda as JIGD manager, and Regency/City Diskominfo throughout East Kalimantan as Regency/City Data Mayor.

Also present as resource persons were Mr. Aris Haryanto from the Center for Standardization and Institutionalization of Geospatial Information, BIG, Mr. Tommy Nautico from the Center for Research, Promotion and Cooperation, BIG and Ms. Nurul Hidayah, ST, MT from the Center for Management and Dissemination of Geospatial Information.

Functional Planner Mr. Duma Mangalle explained that the aim of this coordination is in two aspects, namely institutional and regulatory aspects, with a focus on preparing a memorandum of agreement along with the work plan of the Regency/City Government with BIG and preparing Regional Regulations related to JIGD. Then it is related to infrastructure and technology aspects, namely solving interconnection problems between Regency/City Geoportals and National Geoportals.

To date, East Kalimantan is one of the regions that has good concerns and progress in terms of managing geospatial data and information. Mr. Fino in his speech said that East Kalimantan already has a policy basis, namely through Governor's Regulation Number 41 of 2016 concerning One Data One Map, Governor's Regulation Number 27 of 2017 concerning Regional Geospatial Information Networks, which was further strengthened by the issuance of Governor's Regulation Number 48 of 2021 concerning One Data for East Kalimantan.
