Evaluation and Reflection Meeting on the Implementation of Germas in the Regions
The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas together with the Ministry of Home Affairs held an Evaluation and Reflection Meeting on the Implementation of the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) in the Regions which was held offline at Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta and online via the Zoom application Meeting, Wednesday (27/07/2022).

The event, which was attended by elements of the Provincial Bappeda and related OPDs from all regions of Indonesia, was opened by Mr. Pungkas Bahjuri Ali as Director of Community Health and Nutrition, Bappenas.

For your information, Germas was launched in 2017 through Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2017 concerning the Healthy Living Community Movement. Even though Presidential Instruction 1/2017 has now entered its fifth year, health development still faces serious challenges. Therefore, an evaluation and reflection on the implementation of Germas in the Regions in 2017 - 2021 was carried out, as well as appreciation for the Regions that implemented Germas well based on the reports submitted, with panelists from Bappenas, Ministry of Home Affairs, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Ministry of Health, Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Government and Human Development Sector attended and delivered an online presentation regarding the implementation of Germas in East Kalimantan Province.

Asfiandi Zulfiar, S.T., M.URP, Young Expert Planner, Sub-Coordinator of People's Welfare, East Kalimantan Bappeda conveyed the progress of implementing Germas in East Kalimantan Province and the regulations contained in East Kalimantan Gubernatorial Regulation No. 55 of 2017 concerning Germas Guidelines in East Kalimantan, which is supported by the issuance of Governor's Decree No. 441/K.858/2017 concerning the Germas Forum and Mayor and Regent Regulations related to support for Germas.

Furthermore, coordination of the implementation of Germas in East Kalimantan Province is carried out through evaluation and coordination in the Germas forum and through health promotion coordination meetings.

Apart from that, support for the implementation of Germas is also contained in the 2022 East Kalimantan Province Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) in the Community Empowerment Priority Program in the Health Sector and the East Kalimantan Provincial Health Service Strategic Plan Document. 2019-2023.
