Field Verification - Evaluation of Gender Mainstreaming in 2023

The East Kalimantan Provincial Government conducted an Evaluation of Gender Mainstreaming in 2023 on Thursday, (9/11/2023) in the Tepian 2 Meeting Room of the East Kalimantan Governor's Office.
This meeting aims to provide information regarding gender integration in programs/activities that have been implemented.
This meeting was chaired by the Regional Secretary, Mrs. Sri Wahyuni and attended by the Head of Government and Human Development, Mr. Mispoyo and staff, Mrs. Dewi Budi Cahyani along with the Evaluator Team from the Ministry of PPPA of the Republic of Indonesia, the Regional Inspector of East Kalimantan Province, the Head of DKP3A of East Kalimantan Province and the ranks, East Kalimantan BPKAD, East Kalimantan DPUPR, East Kalimantan ESDM Service, East Kalimantan Disdik, East Kalimantan BKD, Balitbangda East Kalimantan, BKKBN Kaltim, UINSI Samarinda, Chair of the Center for Gender Studies, Mulawarman University.
The East Kalimantan Provincial Government in carrying out PUG is carried out by integrating a gender perspective (point of view) into the development process in every field in realizing development with one integral dimension of planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development policies, programs and activities in the region.
East Kalimantan was nominated in the APE. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government received the Anugerah Parahita Ekapraya (APE) Award in 2023 because it has supported the gender mainstreaming program (PUG). The Gender Development Index (IPG) in East Kalimantan in 2022 was 86.61%. This means that men's human development achievements are still relatively higher than women. It was recorded that the HDI for men reached 82.22 while the HDI for women was only 71.21. Conceptually, this achievement reflects the still large gender disparity in East Kalimantan. This gender disparity even occurs in all districts/cities in East Kalimantan.
