FGD Monitoring and Evaluation of Industrial Zoning
Tuesday, 26 October 2021. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province represented by the Economic and Natural Resources Sector attended the virtual "Monitoring and Evaluation of Industrial Areas" meeting.
In accordance with the mandate of Law Number 3 of 2014 concerning industry, one of the efforts to accelerate the spread and even distribution of industrial development throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is carried out through Industrial Regionalization which is implemented through the development of Industrial Growth Center Areas (WPP), the development of Industrial Designation Areas (KPI), the development of Industrial Areas (Kl), and the construction of Small and Medium Industry Centers (Sentra IKM).
KI development supported by the availability of industrial land within the KPI and infrastructure connectivity within the WPPI is expected to attract investment in the industrial sector. Therefore, to determine the effectiveness of ongoing industrial zoning, monitoring and evaluation is needed based on actual and comprehensive data and information from stakeholders.
In this regard, the Directorate General of Regional Resilience and Industrial Access of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for Industrial Regional Monitoring and Evaluation in a hybrid manner (physically present at the Grand Kemang Hotel Jakarta and online via the Zoom application) on October 26 2021.
FGD participants who were physically present came from within the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of ATR/BPN, Ministry of PIJPR, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bappenas, Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Meanwhile, participants who attended online came from the Provincial Government (Bappeda and Provincial Industry Service).
