Issue of Moving the National Capital to East Kalimantan
Balikpapan, 19/08/2019. Light discussions about the issue of moving the National Capital continue to circulate and develop both in society and at the government level, one of the strongest candidates being East Kalimantan.
This was revealed during a light conversation between the Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/ National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Prof. Dr. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro with officials from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government when receiving the arrival of the Minister of Bappenas at the VVIP building at Sultan Aji Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport Balikpapan, at 22.16 WITA.
Arrival of the Minister of BAPPENAS Prof. Dr. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro to Balikpapan City in order to attend and open the Kalimantan Region Regional Consultation event in Preparing the Initial Draft National Medium Term Development Plan 2020 – 2024 which will be held on 20 – 21 August 2019 at the Novotel Balikpapan Hotel.
The Regional Consultation for the Kalimantan Region was attended by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. Ir. H. Isran Noor, M.Si, Governor of North Kalimantan Dr.Ir.H. Irianto Lambrie, M.M, Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan Drs. H. Rudy Resnawan, M.B.A, Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan Drs. H. Ria Norsan, M.M,. M.H and Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran, DPR RI, Mayors, Regents, Academics and other Regional Organizations. (Public Relations of Bappeda, East Kalimantan Province/Vina).
