Kick Of Meeting Proyek Sustainable Environmental Governance Across Regions

Bilateral Development Cooperation Framework (BDCF) 497-040 which was signed by the United States Government (USAID) and the Indonesian Government (Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas) on July 22 2020 for the 2020- 2025. Under the BDCF, there is a Sustainable Terrestrial Ecosystem Management (STEM) Program Framework, which is aimed at strengthening Indonesia's independence in protecting biodiversity and strengthening sustainable management of natural resources. STEM has a general aim to support the achievement of PN1, PN2, PN3, PN6, TPB/SDGs Goals 13 and 15. Specifically, STEM aims to protect forest areas and land that have high conservation value and promote the practice of sustainable economic activities. FRESH is a STEM Program. The SEGAR project was carried out in Aceh Province (Aceh Tamlang, East Aceh and North Aceh Districts), West Kalimantan Province (Kubu Raya, Sanggau, Sintang and Ketapang Districts), Central Kalimantan (Seruyan and West Kotawaringin Districts) and East Kalimantan (District . Berau, East Kutai and Mahakam Ulu)

SEGAR aims to strengthen environmental governance and increase the implementation of environmental and social sustainability as a target, within the scope of the supply chain for the production of natural resource commodities by the private sector. The approaches taken include being transparent and science-based; multi-sector and multi-stakeholder; "honest intermediary" in facilitating connections/activities between stakeholders so that activities continue even after the project ends; as well as encouraging change actors to demonstrate various models that have been successfully tested on a wide scale; The USADI SEGAR TEAM consists of a Jakarta base: Chief Of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, four Technical Leads, MEL, operational; at the Site Location, coordinated by the Site Manager, Consortium and Key Partners, namely Bappenas, KLHK, Provincial and Regency Governments, Commodity Supply Chain Actors and the local community.
