East Kalimantan Provincial Government Strengthens Commitment to Carbon Low Development Through AKSARA
The East Kalimantan Provincial Government through East Kalimantan Bappeda reiterated its commitment to low carbon development through the reporting activities of the East Kalimantan Low Carbon Development Action (PRK) and online) on December 3, 2024 at the Mercure Hotel Samarinda, and became a forum for reporting program achievements through the Bappenas Low Carbon Development Planning and Monitoring Application Portal.

Aksara is designed as a transparent, accurate, complete, consistent, and integrated platform for planning, monitoring and reporting low carbon development actions. The main purpose of the script is to ensure the availability of accurate and participatory climate change mitigation information and information, as well as reports on credible and transparent mitigation action from various sectors, both at the central and regional levels.
Reporting a total of 1,939 PRK actions until 2024, with a potential decrease in cumulative emissions of 44.6 million tons of CO2e and emission intensity of 36.58 tons of CO2E/billion rupiah. This achievement is the result of collaboration from various parties, including provincial, district/city governments, business actors, and development partners. The Head of PSDA Bappeda East Kalimantan also expressed his appreciation to 41 businesses and 45 development partners who have actively contributed to reporting PRK actions through Aksara.
Continue to actively report PRK actions through script. This consistent and participatory reporting is also expected to support the achievement of the target indicator of the GHG emission decrease in the RPJPD and RPJMD of East Kalimantan, as well as realizing the vision and mission of the sustainable East Kalimantan development.
