Minirach Observation of the Farmers' Group "Friends of Farmers" in Teluk Sulaiman Village, Biduk-Biduk

Inspection of the Miniranch Location in Teluk Sulaiman Village

The continuation of the agenda for the Governor of East Kalimantan's working visit to the northern region on the third day (Sunday, 19 December 2021) was to visit the location of the mini-ranch development of the farmer group "Sahabat Tani" in Teluk Sulaiman.

Miniranch is a step in cultivating cattle that is consistently developed by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government to meet food needs from beef. The cattle population requirement in East Kalimantan is 650 thousand head and currently it has reached 119 thousand head. However, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government is committed to continuing to make maximum efforts so that the supply of cattle can be fulfilled.

It should be noted that the Miniranch in the Teluk Sulaiman village location is one of the 5 (five) miniranches developed by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government in Berau Regency in 2021. This miniranch has an area around 800m2 and there are 50 cows in it.

On this occasion, the Governor of East Kalimantan and the Regent of Berau had the opportunity to try out how to carry out Artificial Insemination (AI) on cows at the miniranch they were visiting. The Governor also said in his speech that this miniranch is a very good program and its implementation must be further optimized so that people can feel the benefits more.
