Infrastructure improvements in the framework of Accelerating Completion of Connectivity and Fulfillment of Regional Energy for Kalimantan become _1a._rapat_persisian_rakor_gub_se_kalimantan_RR_propeda_1_okt_13main priority in efforts to improve the economy of the people of Kalimantan, especially the completion of the Tran Samarinda-Bontang- Sangatta-Sangkuling-Berau road (CPO route and access to KEK Maloy and Jalan Km 38 – Petung (low land corridor and hinterland of Balikpapan City as PKSN) could become a Class 1 road (wide capacity 10 M with MST > 12 Tons as a CPO route). What MOU is needed if funding sharing is needed between APBN and APBD 1 Province and District/City.

Meanwhile, energy fulfillment includes: : 1). The construction of a Nuclear Power Plant (PLTN) in West Kalimantan needs to be realized considering that Uranium has been discovered in West Kalimantan as a raw material for NPPs; 2). Fulfillment of Energy from Bio Fuel from Palm Oil, both CPO and its waste, needs to be immediately formulated and realized.

Meanwhile, for food security, programs are needed: 1). Food Estead development needs to continue; 2). Strategic issues as stated in the agreement document resulting from the Kalimantan Regional Musrenbang; 3). In accordance with the Governor's direction, the focus of the 5th Governor's Coordination Meeting in Balikpapan will be on Food Security through Connectivity and Energy Support, this theme needs to be discussed first with the relevant parties, especially the results or output of the coordination meeting.

This was revealed during a meeting to discuss preparations for the Kalimantan Governor's Working Meeting at the Gran Senyiur Hotel, Jl. ARS Mohammad Number 7 Balikpapan City led by Plh. Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda and concurrently Secretary of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si and continued with the presentation by the Head of the Regional Development Assessment and Financing Division of Bappeda, East Kalimantan Province in the Propeda Meeting Room, second floor, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa Number 2 Samarinda which was attended by approximately 35 participants from all Heads of Division, Head of Subdivisions and Heads of Subdivisions as well as related staff within the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, and was also attended by related SKPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.

The Coordination Meeting Agenda and Mechanism include: 1). In the coordination meeting later, the Governor of East Kalimantan will explain strategic issues and Proposed Priority Programs for Connectivity and Energy as a result of the Agreement between 4 Governors throughout Kalimantan in the regional Musrenbang on April 17 2013 at the Red Top Hotel, Jakarta; 2). The Ministry will respond to the proposal and the Central Commitment that can be given to the aspirations and proposals of the Kalimantan Regional Forum; 3). FKRP2RK's current activities are preparing a follow-up to the Musrenbang and coordinating with the center, especially Bappenas, regarding the prospects of the proposal. If the 5th Governor's Coordination Meeting can be implemented then one of the agendas of the Forum Secretariat will have been implemented, so there is only one meeting agenda left, namely the End of Year Evaluation Meeting at the beginning of December 2013. Said the Head of P3D Bappeda Kaltim.

In accordance with the Governor's direction, as a follow-up to the Regional Musrenbang, a Governor's Meeting will be held throughout Kalimantan, including North Kalimantan, with the topic "Food and Energy Sovereignty" and Infrastructure Support. Presenting invitations from the Center include: 1). Coordinating Minister for the Economy 2). Minister of Defense; 3). Minister of Agriculture; 4). Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources; 5. Minister of Public Works; 6. Minister of Transportation; 7. Bappenas; 8. BPPT (related to innovation and superior seeds); 9). BATAN (Bapetan); 10). PLN; 11 Pelindo.

Invitations are planned for approximately 600 people, consisting of: 1). Related Ministries; 2). All Governors of Kalimantan; 3). relevant Provincial SKPDs throughout Kalimantan; 4). District/City SKPDs throughout East Kalimantan; 5). Etc.

Material and Theme: Meeting proposal: The Coordination Meeting should still be consistent and focused on the theme of the Kalimantan Regional Musrenbang 17 April 2013, namely related to "Connectivity and Energy in Kalimantan". With the output, it is certain that the 2013 Kalimantan Regional Musrenbang proposal can be accommodated in the 2014-2018 RMJMN. This is very timely considering that currently the Central Government through Bappenas is preparing a Background Study for the 2014-2018 RPJMN. (Sukandar, S.Sos/Public Relations of Bappeda Kaltim).
