Ranwal RPJMD East Kalimantan 2013-2018

Samarinda, 10/29/13. Plh. Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda and Secretary of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si delivered a speech and opened the 2013-2018 East Kalimantan Province Regional Development Plan Regional Dependent Development Workshop in the Renstra meeting room on the third floor of the office Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa Number 2 Samarinda, attended by approximately 75 participants consisting of 17 main SKPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Regency/City Bappeda throughout East Kalimantan.

The event began with introductory remarks and providing insight into the general conditions regarding the initial preparation of the 2013-2018 East Kalimantan Province RPJMD from the Head of the Regional Development Assessment Sub-Division, East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Yusliando, ST and then continued with remarks and opening the event by the Acting . Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si and continued with a presentation of the results of the preparation of the East Kalimantan RPJMD Ranwal by the Head of the Regional Development Assessment and Financing Division, Ir.H. Djoko Susilo Handono.

The aim of this workshop is to gather input from each SKPD within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and City Regency Government which are the focus of program implementation in their respective regions.

Quoting remarks from Plh. The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda said that the concept of development with a regional dimension is very important material in the RPJMD of East Kalimantan Province. This is because East Kalimantan Province consists of 10 (ten) Regencies/Cities after the expansion of North Kalimantan Province, which have different problems and potential (characteristics).

The success of provincial development is greatly influenced by the district/city development movement which has a regional dimension, especially the province and district/city are reciprocal flows, namely that the province pays attention to district/city development problems. Likewise, it is hoped that Regency/City planning will be in line with Provincial planning. In this way, there is a combination of the use of basic development capital, which includes human resources, funds, institutions and others.

East Kalimantan Province Regional Regulation Number 15 of 2008 concerning the Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJP) of East Kalimantan Province has mandated that regional development scenarios are needed to provide a reference for spatial planning, equitable development between districts/cities, balance of growth between large cities, medium and small, development of special economic zones (KEK) and strategic areas, as well as acceleration of progress in rural areas, underdeveloped interior areas and border areas.

Until now, the draft Preliminary Draft RPJMD for East Kalimantan Province for 2013-2018 has formulated 1 (one) vision, 5 (five) missions, 6 (six) goals and 21 (twenty one) targets, indicators and targets for 2018 In this regard, we all realize that provincial development achievements are an aggregation of district/city development achievements. For this reason, Plh. Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si invites all active SKPD roles within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Regency/City Bappeda throughout East Kalimantan in this workshop forum to jointly observe and analyze the development program for the next five years.
