The success of provincial development is strongly influenced by the development of district/city development with regional dimension, especially the provinces and districts/cities is a reciprocal current, namely that the province pays attention to the problem of district/city development. and vice versa, it is expected that district/city planning is in harmony with provincial planning. Thus there is a combination of the utilization of basic capital development, which includes human resources, funds, institutions and others.
Regional Regulation of East Kalimantan Province Number 15 of 2008 concerning the Long -Term Development Plan (RPJP) of the East Kalimantan Province has mandated that the regional development scenario is needed to provide a reference for spatial planning, equitable development between districts/cities the balance of growth between large, medium and small cities, the development of special economic areas (KEK) and strategic areas, as well as accelerating the progress of rural areas, inland areas of disadvantaged areas and border areas.
Until now the initial draft draft of the RPJMD of East Kalimantan Province in 2013-2018 has formulated 1 (one) vision, 5 (five) missions, 6 (six) objectives and 21 (twenty-one) targets, indicators and targets in 2018 For that Plh. Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si invited all SKPD active roles in the scope of the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan and Regency/City Bappeda in East Kalimantan in this workshop forum to jointly examine and analyze the development program for the next five years.
