East Kalimantan Economic Policy
Samarinda, Wednesday 1/4/15. Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr.H. Awang Faroek Ishak advised the Minister of PPN/Bappenas Andrinof A. Chaniago to be delivered directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir.H. Joko Widodo that asked the central government to make policies to all coal contractors in East Kalimantan Province to build a Power Plan or Steam Power Plant (PLTU) in the area as a form of direct development for the people of East Kalimantan.
This was conveyed directly by the Governor of East Kalimantan to the Minister of PPN/Bappenas Andrinof A. Chaniago at the 2015 East Kalimantan Province Musrenbang event in the framework of the preparation of the 2016 East Kalimantan Province RKPD at the Convention Hall Building, Sempaja Madya Stadium Complex, Wednesday, Wednesday, 1 /4/15 attended by participants and invitations who attended more than 100 people.
Before the Governor of East Kalimantan conveyed the message, the Minister of PPN/Bappenas firmly said that the demand for an area for special autonomy may not necessarily make the people prosperous. Increasing the welfare of the people is not in the form of demand for special autonomy but in the order of service to the community. He said.
This immediately received a response from the Governor of East Kalimantan to the Minister of PPN/Bappenas that all coal contractors in East Kalimantan to be able to build a power plan or power plant in the area to provide services to the community in East Kalimantan and this is also a principle East Kalimantan economy. Said the Governor of East Kalimantan, H. Awang Faroek Ishak.
Suggestions from the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr.H. Awang Faroek Ishak received a direct response from the Minister of PPN/Bappenas, Andrinof A. Chaniago that the message will be delivered directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir.H. Joko Widodo. The response of the Minister of PPN/Bappenas immediately received a very lively application from the participants present.
While the Governor of East Kalimantan in his presentation said that the 2015 East Kalimantan Province Musrenbang in the context of the preparation of the 2016 East Kalimantan Province RKPD with the theme "Increasing the Economic Value of Regional Superior Products and Intra and Inter -Region Connectivity Strengthening of 12 Priority Programs, namely: 1 ). Improving the quality of education administration; 2). Improving the quality of health services; 3). Acceleration of poverty alleviation; 4). Improvement and expansion of employment opportunities; 5). Populist economic development; 6). Acceleration of economic transformation; 7). Fulfillment of environmentally friendly energy needs; 8). Agribusiness development; 9). Increased food production; 10). Improving the quality of basic infrastructure; 11). Bureaucratic Reform and Governance; 12). Improvement of environmental quality.
While the East Kalimantan Province APBD in 2016 amounted to Rp. 9,191 trillion while revenue in 2016 amounted to Rp. 8,869 trillion with details of the Regional Original Revenue of Rp. 5,334.22 billion (60%); through a balance fund of Rp. 3,168.54 billion (36%) and other legal regional income of Rp. 367.20 billion (4%).
