Therefore, the development of 2021 will be focused on the economic restoration of the strengthening of the trade and cooperative industry, the availability of basic infrastructure, the availability of access to education and health, and social reform. Aswin also conveyed that the current development challenges faced by the Province of East Kalimantan were globally influenced by the trade war between the United States and the People's Republic of China, and slowing global economic growth due to COVID-19. When viewed in the export map of East Kalimantan, the China has a significant role that is (28% of total non -oil and gas) is expected to withstand the prospects of East Kalimantan's economic growth in the medium term. The next challenge is the appointment of East Kalimantan as the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia which is quite influential that requires East Kalimantan to do (1) Acceleration of Economic Transformation through the Economic Development of the IKN Region with the Development of the Processing Industry Sector, Trade Industry, and Tourism which is environmentally friendly, (2) Acceleration Demands for the development needs of IKN-RI, and (4) Increasing the rehabilitation efforts of forest areas and mitigation and disaster risk reduction, such as forest and land fires, floods, landslides, etc.
Then the impact due to Pandemic Covid-19 is reduced production capacity, decreased economic growth rates, increasing layoffs and unemployment, increasing poverty rates, and increasing bad credit and decreased purchasing power of the community. "We can see that Pandemic Covin-19 has an impact on the slowdown in East Kalimantan's economic growth in the 1st quarter of 1.27% year on year, then an increase in unemployment in early 2020 to 6.88%., East Kalimantan poverty level until March increased to 6.10%. 8pt; "> (Bapp/Hum/Fat)
