Discussion of the Development of the National Capital with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bappenas

Wednesday, 01/26/2022. The Head, Secretary and all Heads of Divisions at Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province attended a discussion on the development of the National Capital City (IKN) "Nusantara" with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which was held at the Novotel Balikpapan Hotel. This event was also attended by representatives from BBPJN, BWS, Balai Perkim, East Kalimantan Province PUPR PERA Service, PPU Regency Government (Bappelitbangda PPU), Balikpapan City Government (Bappelitbangda Balikpapan), as well as PT ITCI Hutani Manunggal, and PT ITCI Kartika Utama.

Deputy for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas at the initial opportunity to open the event. Then it was continued with a presentation session which was attended by the Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province and the Director of Building Arrangement of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Works as speakers. In this presentation session, various things were conveyed regarding the development of issues and planning for the development of the location of the National Capital, the problems and challenges that are still being faced, as well as the strategies that will be implemented in optimizing the relocation of the National Capital to East Kalimantan.

Currently, the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with other Ministries are preparing and preparing a number of efforts that will be made in the process of moving to the location of the National Capital "Nusantara" so that later it will work fine. So far, information regarding the area of ​​the "Nusantara" IKN that will be built is a total of 256 thousand hectares, consisting of 199 thousand hectares for the development area, 56 thousand hectares for the capital area and 6,700 hectares for the core area. Regarding the land to be built, of course its acquisition will be carried out in stages.

At this discussion event, preparations for a field visit to the IKN zero point location which will be held on Thursday 27 January 2022 were also discussed.
