one of the agendas in the series of events in the implementation of the East Kalimantan Province RKPD Musrenbang held on April 2022 at the Odah Etam Hall, East Kalimantan Governor's Office was the announcement and awarding to the best regencies and cities in regional development or PPD East Kalimantan in 2022 based on the interview results that were held on February 1522 at the Four Point Balikpapan Hotel.

In the category of the best city government, Balikpapan succeeded as the best, then in the second place was won by Samarinda City, and the third rank was won by the City of Bontang.

while for the category of the first best district government won by Kutai Kartanegara Regency, followed by Paser Regency in the second position and the third best predicate was won by Berau Regency.

This award is given as a form of appreciation in producing quality planning, achieving regional development targets and also development innovations that have been carried out. The award this time was handed over directly by the Governor of East Kalimantan (Mr. Isran Noor) accompanied by the Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province (Mr. Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin MM).
