FGD Capital City of the State of the Archipelago
Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin, MM attended and provided input in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities on the Capital City of the Archipelago which was held in the Multipurpose Room of FISIP Unmul, Friday (18/03/2022).
"In terms of planning, in accordance with existing spatial plans and KLHS that have considered the values of the local culture, it is very good. But there are matters from the Law of the Capital City of the State of the Archipelago that need to be revised to provide legal certainty and consistency in its future implementation even though the president changes, "said the Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda was faced with researchers and related stakeholders present.

Therefore, the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan along with stakeholders related to scheduled dialogue with residents from the tribes around the Ikn Nusantara area to establish synergy on March 22, 2022.
To note, the FGD is part of a joint research activity on the analysis of the new Indonesian capital in East Kalimantan, which was held over the collaboration between the Indonesian Hindu University, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Mulawarman University , IAIN Kediri and Brin.
This research focuses on the study of economic, social and cultural aspects in analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges in the development plan of the country's capital. This study will be expected to be able to contribute thoughts to stakeholders to be able to develop a new capital as a new economic center that is able to sustain the wheels of the economy and balance economic inequality that occurs throughout Indonesia.
