FGD Increased exports of non -oil and gas, non -coal exports, processed food product sectors
Samarinda, (07/27/2023). Bappeda Prov. East Kalimantan was represented by staff in the field of economics to attend the FGD of the Development of Non -Oil and Gas Exports, Non -Coal, Processed Food Products located in the Meeting Room of the Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and MSMEs.

This activity was opened by Plt. Head of Disperindagkop Office, Mrs. Heni Purwaningsih, was followed by sharing knowledge by JFT of the quality examiner, Radinal Muchtar. With the material "Food Safety Standards and Laboratory Test". The discussion was led by the Head of Trade, Disperindagkop and UKM of East Kalimantan Province, BAPK Ali Wardana.

Coal commodities dominate the exports of East Kalimantan with a magnitude above 70 %. Coal is a non -renewable commodity and so as to reduce dependence on coal commodities should be a priority for the development of non -oil and gas exports, from renewable resources and processed products.

East Kalimantan Prov has tried to establish a processed industry development program with the Joint Production House Program (RPB) for UKM. The RPB that will be built based on the study produced later, must have GMP and HACCP certification. GMP and HACCP certification is a food safety certification and which is required so that one processed food product can be accepted by the international market.

HACCP standardization has different grade2 (A, B, C) and different countries require different HACCP grade as well. Socialization is needed for this kind of convenience for exporters. At present in East Kalimantan there are only two companies that have used it, namely 1 in Balikpapan and 1 in Samarinda.

The thing that is concerned is that the exports of East Kalimantan agricultural products are still often only occasionally. RPB is a hope in the future for East Kalimantan export products to be more varied. The critical point for exports of horticultural products is packaging.
