FGD Preparation of Regional Economic Framework RPD Prov. East Kalimantan 2024 - 2026

Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan held an FGD (Focus Group Discussion) for the Preparation of the Regional Economic Framework for the RPD of East Kalimantan Province for 2024-2026 which was held in the Propeda Meeting Room, Bappeda Province. East Kalimantan.

The agenda was attended by BPS Prov. East Kalimantan; Bank Indonesia Kaltim; Provincial Bapenda East Kalimantan; Provincial BPKAD East Kalimantan; DPTPH Provincial East Kalimantan; Provincial Animal Husbandry and Health Service. East Kalimantan; Provincial Plantation Service. East Kalimantan; Provincial Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service. East Kalimantan; DPMPTSP Provincial East Kalimantan; Provincial Tourism Department. The FGD was held because the provincial government's 2019-2023 RPJMD document period will end. East Kalimantan was mandated by the Ministry of Home Affairs to prepare the 2024-2026 RPD document as a medium-term development transition document which will serve as a guide for Regional Head Officials.

The FGD was led by the Head of Regional Development Planning, Control and Evaluation (P2EPD) - Rina Juliaty, S.Si, M.Si. By presenting two sources, namely BPS Prov. East Kalimantan and Bank Indonesia Prov. East Kalimantan.

Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan said that the formulation of Regional Development Macro Indicator Targets must be accompanied by a strong data base and identification of future economic opportunities and challenges. It was also stated that there were 2 points realized in Regional Strategic Issues in the 2019-2023 RPJMD, namely: points 4 (Improving Environmental Quality) and 8 (Structural Reform towards a New Post-COVID-19 Normal Order).

This FGD is expected to produce the following output:

1. Obtained data and information on the latest regional conditions along with phenomena and dynamics of change as an initial illustration in the preparation of the Preliminary Draft RPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2024-2026;

2. Obtained data and information on the future economic prospects of East Kalimantan Province, recommendations for accelerating economic growth, as well as monetary policy forecasts for 2024-2026;

3. Obtained additional up-to-date (sectoral) information from Regional Apparatus regarding sectoral development plans within the 2024-2026 timeframe which will influence the achievement of macro regional development indicators;

4. Obtained an overview of the policy direction that will be determined in the RPD of East Kalimantan Province for 2024-2026.

The economic framework data obtained will be used as the basis for assumptions for determining macro development targets which are translated into indicators for the development goals and targets of the East Kalimantan Province RPD for 2024-2026 (economic growth rate, poverty level, unemployment rate, HDI and Gini index) as well as determining strategic plans and policy direction;
