Development Focus in the RKPD of East Kalimantan Province in 2024
Samarinda, (16/03/2023). The process of preparing the initial draft of the 2024 RKPD Document has reached the Public Consultation stage which was held today at the Mercure Hotel.

This activity was held as an implementation of the mandate of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017, where in preparing planning documents that are oriented towards a participatory approach, it is necessary to carry out Public Consultation

RKPD 2024 carries the theme "Increasing the Competitiveness of Human Resources and Reliable Regional Infrastructure to Accelerate Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation", Acting Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, Mr. Yusliando, said that there are 4 objectives and 12 targets in the Preliminary Draft RKPD.

In 2024, East Kalimantan's development priorities will be directed at increasing the competitiveness of human resources which encourages labor absorption, improving the level of public health by optimizing services at hospitals and other health facilities, strengthening economic transformation efforts through diversification vertically and horizontally in leading sectors, strengthening infrastructure to support economic development and basic services, improving the quality of life of the poor, especially alleviating extreme poverty, improving the quality of the environment in a sustainable manner, improving professional and accountable Regional Government governance, and increasing regional readiness as partners. The objectives of the 2024 RKPD include firstly, Creating competitive human resources, which consists of four targets, namely Increasing the level of education in society: Increasing the level of public health: increasing the competitiveness of the workforce: and increasing women's competitiveness. second, realizing quality economic growth, which consists of three targets, namely realizing economic diversification; increasing the economic empowerment of poor communities; increasing the quality and availability of infrastructure to support the economy and fulfilling basic infrastructure.

The third goal is to improve the quality of the environment, which consists of three targets, namely maintaining the quality of water, sea water, air and land cover; reduction in greenhouse gas emissions based on the forestry sector and land use; increasing new and renewable energy. fourth, to create a responsive and public service-oriented government bureaucracy supported by a moral apparatus, which consists of two targets including the realization of a bureaucracy that has quality public services with professional apparatus; and the realization of an accountable bureaucracy.
