Public Consultation Forum for the 2018 - 2023 East Kalimantan RPJMD Technocratic Draft
SAMARINDA. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of East Kalimantan Province held a Public Consultation Forum in the context of preparing the Technocratic Draft Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for East Kalimantan Province for 2018-2023. The forum, which was held on August 20 2018 in the Ballroom of the Midtown Samarinda Hotel, was attended by Assistants in the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, all Heads of Regional Apparatus in the East Kalimantan Province, Chancellors, Deans, Professors, Academic Staff at Mulawarman University, Banking, Professional Associations , NGOs, and Private Sectors in East Kalimantan, as well as the Team for Preparing the Vision and Mission of Elected East Kalimantan Regional Heads. This forum is an important agenda in gathering aspirations, input and suggestions from every stakeholder element in order to obtain input in improving the Technocratic Draft of the East Kalimantan Province RPJMD document.
Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, Dr. Ir. H. Zairin Zain, M.Si, in the committee chairman's report and his remarks said that this Forum aims to obtain input and suggestions for improving the technocratic draft of the 2018-2023 East Kalimantan Province RPJMD. "All forum participants are expected to provide input/suggestions accompanied by supporting data and information to improve the technocratic draft of the 2018-2023 East Kalimantan Province RPJMD and agree on problems, challenges and strategic issues for the development of East Kalimantan for the next 5 (five) years," he said.< /p>
The Acting Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Dr. Hj. Meiliana opened the Public Consultation Forum on the RPJMD Technocratic Draft. In his speech, he expressed his hope that the forum could produce the best recommendations so that the preparation of the East Kalimantan RPJMD in the future would be better.
"I hope that this forum will produce the best recommendations so that the preparation of the East Kalimantan Province's RPJMD for the next five years will be better and will increasingly touch the interests of the community throughout "The development that we are carrying out is truly capable of creating prosperity for the people of East Kalimantan," said Meiliana when delivering her speech and opening the event, Monday (20/8).
In accordance with the mandate of Law Number 25 of 2004 and Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017, that the preparation of the Regional Medium Term Development Plan must guide the Regional Long Term Development Plan. For your information, the 2018-2023 Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is an elaboration of the 2005-2025 Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) stage IV. In stage IV of the RPJPD, the development goal to be achieved by East Kalimantan Province is "Creating a Just and Prosperous Society in All Regions in the Implementation of Sustainable Development".
Furthermore, the main development objectives are planned to be achieved through the main targets of Phase IV development, namely:
- Creating quality human resources that are independent, highly competitive;
- Creating a reliable economic structure with the widest possible community participation;
- Realizing integrated and harmonious development with an economic and ecological-based regional development approach;
- Provide basic services for the community evenly and proportionally;
- Realizing the efficiency and effectiveness of participatory government based on law enforcement.
There are several things that were agreed upon in the 2018-2023 RPJMD Technocratic Draft Public Consultation Forum, namely:
- Input/suggestions accompanied by supporting data and information from all forum participants;
- Technocratic RENSTRA Design for Regional Apparatus based on problems, challenges and strategic development issues for the next 5 (five) years agreed at the forum from all Regional Apparatus;
- The formulation of the agreement on problems, challenges and strategic issues for development for the next 5 (five) years is outlined in the Minutes and signed by all participants. (fjr)
