East Kalimantan Zakat in 1444 Hijriah

Samarinda, (05/04/2023). Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Head of General Subdivision, Mr. Syarifuddin A, S.Sos attended the East Kalimantan Zakat event organized by the East Kalimantan National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) at the Olah Bebaya Building, East Kalimantan Governor's Office.

In the event, the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan handed over zakat to BAZNAS Kaltim and were attended by elements of Vertical Agencies, Government Officials, BUMD and Companies within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.

In his speech and direction, the Governor of East Kalimantan appealed to all stakeholders present to be able to give their zakat through BAZNAS which is the official institution for collecting and distributing zakat.

Furthermore, the Chairman of BAZNAS Kaltim, Mr. H. Ahmad Nabhan said that the collection of zakat, infaq and alms funds amounted to more than IDR 8.7 billion in 2022, where there was an increase of IDR 1.9 billion more compared to revenue in 2021 which was only IDR 6.8 billion.
