The Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda was the resource person in the East Kalimantan KPU socialization related to the preparation of the vision, mission, and prospective programs in accordance with the East Kalimantan RPJPD
Samarinda, (02/08/2024) - Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Yusliando, today was a guest speaker at the East Kalimantan Provincial KPU socialization event held at the Mercure Hotel Samarinda. This agenda is carried out in connection with the socialization related to the preparation of the vision, mission and program of prospective regional head candidates in accordance with the Regional Long -Term Development Plan (RPJPD) of East Kalimantan Province.
In this agenda, Yusliando delivered a brief explanation of the East Kalimantan Province RPJPD document, which became a guideline in the preparation of the Vision, Mission, and Program for Candidates for Regional Heads.
Yusliando underlines three main national development agendas that must be a guideline for the region, namely economic, social, and governance transformation. Energy especially in economic transformation, Yusliando explained that East Kalimantan would reduce dependence on the mining and excavation sector, and switch to the manufacturing sector.
he also mentioned the projection of population growth in East Kalimantan which is expected to reach 6 million in 2045, according to BPS data. Yusliando stressed its importance for future regional heads to formulate programs that are able to handle strategic issues.
In addition, Yusliando highlighted challenges in the fields of environment, infrastructure, and governance. As for 2019 to 2023, developments in the field of governance are still stagnant. According to him, there is an urgent need to improve public services and bureaucracy, especially with the use of digital technology to be more effective in serving the community.
On this occasion, Yusliando also added that in the RPJMN document, East Kalimantan was appointed as the driving force of the Eastern Eastern Indonesia region. This shows the strategic role of the province in regional economic development and is an encouragement to formulate policies that can support regional economic growth.
This meeting is expected to be an illustration for the prospective head of Daer in preparing a work program and determining his political promises to the community.
