Head of Bappeda Becomes Resource Person for Discussion and Reflections on a year since East Kalimantan became the Capital of the New Nation

Samarinda,(26 August 2020)Discussion of the issue regarding the new IKN in 2020 has been submerged due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is currently hitting both the world and Indonesia, but this has not reduced the government's enthusiasm to continue building IKN.
This is what made the Kaltim Post Group hold the Rembuk Etam event with the theme "Reflections on a year of East Kalimantan as the Capital of the New Nation" virtually via the Zoom Meeting application.
Present at this activity as resource persons were Deputy for Regional Development of Bappenas Rudy Soeprihadi, Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan Hadi Mulyadi, Deputy Regent of PPU Hamdam, Mayor of Balikpapan Rizal Effendi, Chairman of the DPRD of East Kalimantan Makmur Hapk, Lecturer of FEB Unmul Aji Sofyan Effendi, Lecturer of Social Sciences Unmul Lutfi Wahyudi, and Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda HM Aswin.
He further explained that the programs/activities carried out in an effort to support IKN in the infrastructure sector were improving the access road from the KM.38 Samboja intersection to Semoi Sepaku – Petung which is currently the main access to the IKN core location, then improving the Mulawarman road which is located in the coastal area of Balikpapan towards Samboja, apart from that the government is also making efforts to accelerate the construction of the Balang Island Access Bridge.
In order to increase the coverage of drinking water services in the city of Balikpapan, the Government of East Kalimantan is also contributing to the development of the Teritip SPAM, because Balikpapan is an existing city which is projected to become hinterland IKN.
