Head of Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan becomes a resource for public dialogue with the theme "Who is Corporate CSR in East Kalimantan for?"

East Kalimantan Province is known to have abundant natural resources, one of which is coal mineral resources. To date, there are around 30 companies with Coal Mining Concession Work Agreement (PKP2B) status operating in Kalimantan. However, the number of companies operating is not directly proportional to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds obtained by the people of East Kalimantan as a form of corporate social responsibility to the community and surrounding environment.

-

The Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi, could not hide his disappointment when he found out that none of the 200 billion Rupiah CSR education budget from the Coal Company had been given to the people of East Kalimantan.

-

In connection with this, TVRI East Kalimantan held a discussion entitled Public Dialogue with the theme "Who is Corporate CSR in East Kalimantan for?", Tuesday (17/05/2022).< /p>

The event, which was held at the East Kalimantan TVRI Studio and broadcast live via the official TVRI Kaltim social media channels, presented speakers from elements of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Academics and the East Kalimantan CSR Forum.

-

Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. H.M Aswin, MM was present as a resource representative from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.

-

"The East Kalimantan Provincial Government has done various things for this CSR, namely through the construction of livable houses for our community, which is targeted to reach 5 thousand units every year," explained the Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda.

-

It was further conveyed that it is important to create synergy between companies and their CSR, universities and the community, which must be mutually active in order to achieve good communication in coordination nodes so that the company's social responsibility towards the community and surrounding environment can run well.

-

"Not only mining companies, plantation companies, BUMN, banking and other companies are expected to be able to unite in establishing communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders so that the company's CSR funds are right on target," he said, giving a closing statement in the discussion.
