Public Consultation II Preparation of the Strategic Environmental Study of the RPJMD East Kalimantan in 2025-2029

Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the PSDA and PPEPD field attended the Public Consultation Activities II of the Strategic Environmental Study of the RPJMD East Kalimantan in 2025-2029 which was held in a luring and online manner by the Department of Environment (DLH) of East Kalimantan at the Mercure Hotel Samarinda, Monday (23/9).

Activities opened by the Head of Environmental Administration of East Kalimantan, M. Chamidin and attended by various elements consisting of regional apparatus in the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Vertical Agencies, Academics, NGOs, Associations, Experts, and related development partners aims to produce agreements and integration East Kalimantan from various stakeholders.

In the response and input session, East Kalimantan Bappeda through the first expert planner, Diaz Rohana Fadhilah delivered input and information related to the progress of the implementation of planning documents in East Kalimantan Province.

"Currently we (East Kalimantan Province through East Kalimantan Bappeda) are preparing the East Kalimantan RPJMD Technocratic Design 2025-2029 which has entered the final design stage", said Diaz.

further said that the technocratic design that will be completed in October 2024 is expected to be integrated with the KLHS RPJMD after the Public Consultation II implemented.

In addition, KLHS is also expected to explore strategic issues and directions for policy recommendations in the RPJMN 2025 technocratic design, because in these documents there are indications of interventions that can enrich programs in the KLHS document.

To be known, the making of KLHS must be carried out by the government and regional governments to ensure that the principle of sustainable development be integrated in the development of an area and/or policies, plans, and/or programs.

Furthermore, the preparation of KLHS must be stated in the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW), Long -Term Development Plan (RPJP), and the National, National, Provincial and Regency/City Development Plan (RPJP).

The speakers who provide information exposure are elements of the Director General of Environmental Impact Prevention of Regional and Sector (PDLKWS), Directorate General of PKTL of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs and experts from experts and academics.
