Public Consultation on Preparation of RKPD for Kutai Kartanegara Regency in 2023
Tuesday, 02/15/2022. Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Mr. Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin, MM was present virtually and was a resource person in the Public Consultation Activity for Preparing the RKPD for Kutai Kartanegara Regency in 2023.
Public consultation on the initial draft RKPD of Kutai Kartanegara Regency is an important stage that needs to be carried out by the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Government in the context of preparing the RKPD of Kutai Kartanegara Regency for 2023, in accordance with the mandate of Permendagri No. 86 of 2017.
In his presentation, Prof. Aswin conveyed several things related to the themes, priorities, targets and direction of regional development policy at the provincial level (in the 2023 RKPD Plan for East Kalimantan Province) which need to be important notes in the process of aligning the RKPD for East Kalimantan Province and Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
He also emphasized in his presentation that the policy direction of Kutai Kartanegara Regency in 2023 needs to be focused on alleviating poverty, reducing unemployment, reducing income inequality, maintaining the quality of the environment and preparing the region for welcomes the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan, especially in terms of human resource development. "IKN needs to be seen as an opportunity that must be utilized for the progress of Kutai Kartanegara Regency," he explained.
For your information, the theme of the 2023 Kutai Kartanegara Regency RKPD is "Improving Basic Infrastructure, Connectivity and Human Resource Development". With the development priorities of Kutai Kartanegara Regency that have been prepared, including structuring organizational management and strengthening coordination of regional apparatus; structuring regional financial and asset management; increasing reach and access to quality education services; strengthening socio-cultural capital, social solidarity and social resilience in community life; promotion and implementation of clean, healthy, safe and productive living behavior; increasing women's skills and fulfilling children's rights; accelerating village development as a base for food production and community empowerment; increasing productivity, added value and income from agriculture, plantations, animal husbandry and forestry; provision and arrangement of housing and settlements, clean water and sanitation that is healthy, decent and safe; as well as restoring environmental carrying capacity.
Problems still being faced in Kutai Kartanegara Regency include the lack of optimal accountability for regional government performance; regional financial management has not been optimal; the still low level of equality and quality of education services; the distribution and quality of regional health services is not yet optimal; minimal empowerment of women in regional development; the uneven quality of development throughout the village; lack of community empowerment in developing superior village commodities; unequal distribution of basic infrastructure development and services; the utilization and management of natural resources and the environment are not yet optimal.
