Public Consultation on Preliminary Draft RKPD for Berau Regency for 2024
Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division, Mr. Wahyu Gatut Purboyo, S.Pi, M.Si attended the Berau Regency Ranwal RKPD Public Consultation as an online resource person via zoom meeting.

This event was opened by the Regional Secretary of Berau Regency, Mr. Agus Wahyudi and attended by all Regional Apparatus within the Berau Regency Government.

In his presentation Mr. Wahyu said that Berau Regency has an important role in the economy of East Kalimantan Province. He stated that in recent years Berau Regency's economic contribution has continued to increase with the current contribution value of 6.19 percent. With its high dependence on the mining and quarrying sector, Berau Regency is faced with efforts to create sustainable and sustainable economic growth and needs to encourage the creation of new economic sources.

In the future, Berau Regency will be faced with global uncertainty, normalization of commodity prices and a political year of holding elections. Therefore, Mr. Wahyu emphasized that economic transformation needs to be carried out to restore Berau's economic growth trajectory.

Along with this, efforts also need to be made to encourage the transformation to a green economy as one of the strategies towards the economic transformation of East Kalimantan including Berau Regency.

Speaking about the preparation of the 2024 RKPD draft document, Mr Wahid emphasized several things that need attention, especially the synchronization of performance, performance indicators and targets for the implementation of affairs in the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation on the guidelines for preparing the RKPD, paying attention to and following up on the results of control and evaluation of the previous year's development implementation.

He further said that another thing that needs to be paid attention to is maintaining consistent links between the RKPD and Renja PD, then the formulation of performance targets is carried out in a measurable and accountable manner and the funding framework projections are carried out in a measurable manner because they will be used as input for the formulation of performance targets.
