Consultation on the Draft Regional Regulation on the 2023 Balikpapan City RKPD

Present on this occasion was the Head of the Planning Division and the Functional Position of Young Expert Planner of the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, and representatives from the Balikpapan City Bappelitbang.

The theme of the 2023 RKPD for Balikpapan City is "Improving the Quality of Human Resources, Equitable Access to Quality Basic Services to Support Economic Development", in general in his presentation the Head of Balikpapan City Bappelitbang conveyed Balikpapan's economic conditions, welfare conditions, achievements and targets of Macro Development Indicators, Regional Financial Picture in 2023, Main performance indicators in 2023, Priority Programs, and Regional Innovation in 2023.

There were several suggestions at this meeting, including the need for additional redactions in documents to control poverty, especially in dealing with the impact of population growth due to IKN; there is a comparison between the Sustainable Development Goals and existing programs in the city of Balikpapan; addition of legal bases such as Regional Regulations on Spatial Planning and consistency chapter by chapter; additions in Chapter II how to calculate several indices (community literacy development index, youth and sports competitiveness index, cultural heritage index, infrastructure development index, etc.).

The results of the facilitation of the final draft of the 2023 RKPD will be followed up by the City of Balikpapan by refining the final draft and submitting it to become a draft regional head regulation
