Coordination of APT Pranoto Airport Masterplan Review Work

Samarinda, (03/12/2020). In connection with the policy changes from the National RTRW, Provincial RTRW and KM 166 of 2019 concerning the National Airport Order, APT Pranoto Airport from being a Feeder to a Secondary Collector is the APT Airport Management Unit. Pranoto conducted a Review of the A.P.T Airport Masterplan. Pranoto.

This activity was attended by the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, the East Kalimantan Transportation Service, the Head of the Region VII Airport Authority Office Balikpapan, East Kalimantan Provincial Government (Bappeda and Transportation Agency), Samarinda City Government (PU Department, Transportation Department, DLH, and North Samarinda District, East Kalimantan BPN, East Kalimantan BMKG, Kukar Transportation Agency, Samarinda Airnav, and Consultant Team.

This study aims to prepare planning guidelines for the formulation of APT Airport development policies. Pranoto currently and in the future according to the needs of air transportation services, and is intended to carry out quantitative and qualitative studies/analysis of the extent of APT Airport facilities. Pranoto can be developed/built to support and anticipate socio-economic developments in the city of Samarinda and its surroundings.

Based on the air transportation network development plan according to the RTRW of East Kalimantan Province for 2016-2036, the New Samarinda Airport has been established (APT Pranoto) was developed into a Secondary Scale Collector Airport.

Submitted by the Head of Subdivision of Transportation Infrastructure, Bappeda, East Kalimantan Province, Dedy Pudja Wardana, ST, APT Airport Spatial Pattern and Connectivity Network Plan. Pranoto, for the potential for airport development to the northwest, needs to consider administrative differences and also plans for railway lines that need to be adjusted, considering that APT Pranoto Airport in Samarinda is an airport venue that will accelerate economic development and equality in the East Kalimantan region with the multiply airport concept.

Dedy stated that the need for Airside Facilities for the Development Stage is divided into 3 stages, namely; Phase I (2021-2025) with a runway length of 2,500 x 45 and Exit Taxiway 2; Phase II (2026-2035) with a runway length of 2,700 x 45 and Exit Taxiway 4; and the Ultimate Stage (2036-2040) with a Runway length of 3,000 x 45 and Exit Taxiway 5.
