Public Lecture Welcoming a New Era of Long-Term Development by Drs. Andrinof A. Chaniago, M.Si at Kartanegara University
Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, Mr. Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM, attended directly the public lecture with the theme "Welcoming a New Era of Long-Term Development" delivered by Drs. Andrinof A. Chaniago, M.Si at Kartanegara University.
The event was opened by the Chancellor of Kartanegara University, Mr. Erwinsyah, SE, SH, M.Sc. And serving as moderator at this event is Mr. Efri Novianto, S.Sos, M.Si.
Mr Andrinof's delivery of public lecture material began with the presentation of various national figures, especially regarding the nation's economic growth which is lagging behind several neighboring countries and is caused by the quality of human resources and long-term development planning which have not been structured optimally.
Regarding the National Capital City (IKN), he conveyed several logical reasons behind the development of IKN in East Kalimantan, one of which is to enable Indonesia to have a world-class public city to be on par with other countries, as well as efforts to build steps to make the accelerated development program for the eastern region of Indonesia more effective.
In preparing and welcoming IKN it is necessary to make a number of efforts, including encouraging the industrial, service, tourism and education sectors. The development of the National Capital must also pay attention to sustainability/environmentally friendly aspects.
Regarding the mindset of young people in welcoming IKN, it is necessary to immediately change, be creative and adapt to the needs of the times which require an entrepreneurial spirit so as not to lose the various opportunities that exist. Not just hoping to become a civil servant or company.
