Based on the presentation of the results of the temporary research from the Brin Research Team and the discussion produced several important points, including:

1. The research location includes the Province of Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan Province, and East Kalimantan Province is projected to dry up until 2050 (Latifah et al., 2023).

2. The background of this research study includes: 1). Previous studies showed that the total annual rainfall had undergone a reduction over the past two decades (Ramadhan et al., 2022); 2). Other studies also show projections of dry days without rain increased in the future (2020-2050) in the IKN region (Nurlatifah et al., 2023) and 3). This increases the long -term potential of the increase in drought disasters that have an impact on the decline in water resources (SDA) and forest and land fires in the IKN;

3. Research goals and objectives are to determine indicators of threats and vulnerability of drought and the availability of drought disaster risk maps in Kalimantan in 2023-2033;

4. The risk of drought is calculated by including climate and non-advent aspects as well as the use of regional dynamic model data (CCAM) for Kalimantan, so that the Baseline Drought Risk Map will be obtained and its projection going forward until 2043;

5. The follow -up of the results of this study is expected to provide very important information for the area of East Kalimantan Province in order to support regional development and improve the economy of the people of East Kalimantan in particular and the Indonesian nation in general. (SKR)
