Climate Change and Environmental Development Team Working Visit from the Canadian Embassy
Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province represented by the Economy and Natural Resources Fields attending the Climate Change and Environmental Change Team Meeting from the Canadian Embassy at the Novotel Hotel Balikpapan on Sunday (06/02/2022).
Present at the meeting, the Acting Secretary of the East Kalimantan Province (H. Riza Indra Riadi), Representative of the Indonesian GGGI (Marcel Silvius), Chairperson of the East Kalimantan DDPI Daily (Daddy Ruchiyat), the Head of the Regional Apparatus in the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan and the Head of the City of Balikpapan (representative of the City of Balikpapan).
It is expected that through this meeting, cooperation in realizing green development in East Kalimantan in the future can be more well fostered, especially in the development, preservation and use of mangrove forests in East Kalimantan.
East Kalimantan Province currently has a mangrove vegetation area of approximately 111 thousand hectares. Spread in the East Coastal area of East Kalimantan from Paser, Penajam Paser Utara, Balikpapan, Kutai Kartanegara, Samarinda, Bontang, East Kutai and Berau.
