Chairman of the East Kalimantan DPRD, Drs. H. Makmur HAPK, MM in conveying the main ideas of the DPRD of East Kalimantan Province during the implementation of the Musrenbang in the context of preparing the RKPD of East Kalimantan Province for 2023 at the Odah Etam hall, emphasized several things which he felt were important to be noted in improving development in East Kalimantan.

Some of the things emphasized by Pak Makmur (his nickname) are that synchronization between the DPRD and the Regional and Central Government must be well established; Basically, the DPRD fully supports the policy of moving IKN to East Kalimantan, but we need to prepare and be able to answer various challenges in relation to moving IKN; Synchronization and synergy between the main ideas of the DPRD at the Provincial and Regency/City levels need to be developed better; Issues relating to Education and Health need to be the focus of attention, especially in the current conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic; Problems that arise as a result of the transfer of authority from Regency/City to Province or to the Center also need to be considered so that they do not become problems in the regions; The need to prepare human resources in the regions that are competitive and of good quality; as well as regarding the condition of East Kalimantan's infrastructure which is still very sad and really needs a large enough budget to build it, this also needs to receive attention from the Central Government.

Regarding the move of the National Capital to East Kalimantan, he again emphasized the need to involve and pay attention to all regencies/cities in the East Kalimantan region in order to synchronize and balance development between regions within East Kalimantan in supporting the development of the National Capital will be more optimal, so that problems that may arise due to the transfer of IKN will not have a negative impact on development in East Kalimantan.

"Basically, the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD is committed to continuing to support the programs run by the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan and synchronization between the DPRD and the East Kalimantan Provincial Government needs to continue to be developed in order to progress in the development of East Kalimantan," he said before closing the session presenting the main ideas of the East Kalimantan DPRD.
