Destruction of Provincial Bappeda Archives. East Kalimantan and SAI Launching
Bappeda Prov. East Kalimantan carried out the destruction of Bappeda Archives for the period 1994-2010 totaling 2801 archive files in the East Kalimantan Bappeda Regional Police meeting room.

This activity was opened by the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan H. Hadi Mulyadi, S.Si, M.Si and attended by the Head of the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan, Secretary of the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan, Head of Provincial Library and Archives. East Kalimantan.

In his speech he said that the purpose of destroying archives is for work efficiency and effectiveness as well as saving the archive information itself from parties who do not have the right to know about it.

He also appealed to all Regional Apparatus to do the same as was done by the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province to carry out the destruction of archives whose retention period had expired.

Similarly, the Head of the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM said that the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan is the first regional apparatus to carry out archive destruction activities and he hopes to become an example for other regional apparatus to do the same.

Mr Aswin also explained that the destruction of these archives went through several stages including the formation of an assessment committee, selection of archives, making a list of archives proposed to be destroyed, assessment from the assessment team, requesting approval for destruction from the head of the archive creator, determining the archives to be destroyed, and finally carrying out the destruction of archives.

In this archive destruction activity, the Minutes of Archive Destruction were signed and signed by witnesses from the East Kalimantan Provincial Inspectorate, Mr. Slamet Riyadi, SE and the Provincial Regional Secretariat Legal Bureau. East Kalimantan Mrs. Puji Astuti, SH.

This activity was also coupled with the launching of SIAGA ARCHIVES "Movement to Save Family Archives" which began with a scan of the family data of the retired Head of Bappeda, East Kalimantan Province.
