Adding the Electricity Network is a Priority Proposal
Samarinda, (12/17/2020). The addition of an electricity network is one of the priority proposals for Maratua District, Berau Regency as a priority location for the Border Area because currently only part of the villages in Maratua have electricity. Not only that, the construction of the Lawang Lawang pier, optimization of telecommunications and internet networks, construction of a type B hospital, improvement of the shoulder of the runway at Maratua Airport, and provision of raw water to support tourism development activities in Maratua District are also priority proposals.
This was conveyed by plt. Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs Ibnu Abbas in his report after attending the 2020 Border Development Coordination Meeting virtually held by the National Border Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia. According to him, this is in the elaboration of the Policy Direction for the 2020-2024 master plan regarding the development of physical connectivity and energy infrastructure, and the development of eco-social and social infrastructure.
