Bhumandala Award 2022
East Kalimantan Province should be proud because it won an award at the 2022 Bhumandala Award held by the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG).

East Kalimantan won the Bhumandala Ariti category award, at the Borobudur Hotel, the award was handed over directly by the head of BIG, Mr. Muh Aris Marfai.

East Kalimantan is considered to have a very good geoportal, and can foster 10 districts/cities in managing geospatial network nodes, and can integrate 8 districts/cities into the East Kalimantan geoportal.

Another proud thing is that one of the cities in East Kalimantan also won an award, namely Bontang City in the Bhumandala Kanaka category.

The awarding of network node awards is a form of BIG's appreciation for network nodes with the aim of motivating, inspiring, strengthening and increasing the enthusiasm of K/L/P in building the elements of their network nodes so that they continue to develop sustainably towards active and operational Network Nodes.

It is expected that data processed by the Central Government and Regional Governments must have one data standard, metadata and reference number.
