Strengthening other similar Provincial PPAS Sanitation AMPL Working Groups in the Context of Achieving Universal Access to Drinking Water and Sanitation

Tuesday, November 9 2021. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, represented by the Infrastructure and Regional Sector, attended virtually the implementation of the activity "Training Workshop on Strengthening WSS Sanitation Working Groups for PPAS Sanitation in Other Types in the Context of Achieving Universal Access to Drinking Water and Sanitation".

Pamsimas is an initiative for the provision of drinking water and rural sanitation which started in 2008. Pamsimas is targeted to become a platform (policy framework) for the development of drinking water and rural sanitation. Pamsimas is implemented by the community (Community Work Plan/RKM) and management is carried out on a community-based basis (Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities Management Group - KPSPAMS).

The success of the Pamsimas program is measured by 16 key performance indicators (KPI) which comprehensively describe the success of all Pamsimas components, both at the national, provincial and district and village levels. Based on data on October 26 2021, it shows that 2 of the 16 KPIs have not been achieved, namely KPI 3 and KPI 15.
