Preparation of National Capital Policy Study (IKN)
The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is collaborating with the Provincial Secretariat's Welfare Bureau. East Kalimantan held a follow-up meeting in the context of preparing a hybrid review of National Capital (IKN) policies in the Social and Cultural fields at the Aston Samarinda Hotel, Wednesday (12/10/2022).

In the meeting, Bappeda Provincial. East Kalimantan, through the Government and Human Development Sector, was present and actively participated in this activity.

Also present were 35 participants consisting of elements of relevant regional apparatus within the provincial government. East Kalimantan and District/City as well as Heads of Kutai, Paser and Dayak Traditional Institutions.

Deputy for Coordination of Mental Revolution, Promotion of Culture and Sports Achievement, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Mr. Didik Suhardi, who opened the event, hoped for input from all stakeholders present to be able to provide suggestions and input in improvement of the study document currently being carried out.

It was further stated that the specific aim of the study in question is to map potentials and problems based on suggestions from the community from a cultural and social perspective as a reference in preparing Policy Recommendations from the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture to the President regarding the move of the National Capital to East Kalimantan.

The results of cultural and social-based studies will become alternative policies that strengthen sustainable development that is able to improve the welfare of society. The concepts and ideas contained in academic texts and regulations regarding the Archipelago Capital will become the basis for research as well as a means of controlling the findings and gaps in the research location.
